A female cyclist was taken to Harborview early this morning with life-threatening injuries after an accident in White Center.

Police say that at about 6:15 this morning, a female cyclist in her 20s sustained serious injuries in the 7700 block of Delridge Way SW, but police do not yet know if the woman was in a “single vehicle collision”, or if she was the victim in a hit and run.

SPD’s traffic collision detectives are investigating.

Police are asking that anyone who may have information regarding this collision contact detectives as 206 684-8927.

  1. I hope it’s not the same woman who was cutting in and out of traffic wearing all black with NO LIGHT on Stone Way last night at late dusk that I almost hit. Seriously, girl, I COULD NOT SEE YOU. Cutting around that giant SUV was not a smart move.

  2. Ugh. My friend shattered her pelvis a few years ago when she got nailed by a cowardly van driver (left the scene, never got caught) on Delridge. Eeesh.

    Speedy recovery, biker girl.

  3. @7: Your comment implies that the seriously injured cyclist must be the one at fault. You know, because they’re all wearing black and weaving around at night with NO LIGHT. It was a jackass comment to have in this thread.

  4. Not White Center. Hint: White Center is patroled by KCSO. This crash was investigated by SPD. White Center begins at Roxbury, a good mile south.
