While it’s certainly true we don’t see enough fistfights in local and national politics, the Czech Republic still needs to step up its game if it wants to be considered a world leader in politician slap fests. Check out these two ministers going at it, and sigh deeply wishing that their fathers had taught them as young boys how to make a decent fist and use it.

  1. @4: Technically, Czechs are not Slavs – that is the one cultural point that was driven into me growing up (not that anyone in in the U.S. would know the difference or even care that Bohemian isn’t a style, but a cultural identity).

    My dad’s family may not have been big on passing on the language and the culture – but they made sure that the kids knew that they were Czechs.

  2. @6, Technically, Czechs are Slavs. Maybe you misunderstood your paternal family. Bohemia is just a region in the Czech Republic.

    Interesting fact: one of the top football clubs in Prague is called Slavia Prague.
