It seems that Asian companies only change or remove the darkie on their products when they are bought or absorbed by an American corporation (check out the Chinese evolution of Darkie to Darlie). Because the Vietnamese hotel in which the toothpaste in the image was found is owned by Novotel, a French corporation, we can conclude that Europeans allow absorbed Asian companies to keep their darkies.
