This very patriotic towel was minutes ago discarded in the sidewalk trash bin outside of our office. The culprit was not seen. It lay there for several minutes (pictured) until a passerby, who himself was wearing a leather coat partially emblazoned with the likeness of an American flag, picked it up, gave it a look, hesitated, and threw it all the way into the trash can before moving on.

Crime?
i could have used that towel in BC this weekend.
I read the manual as a Capitol Hill Cub Scout, and think it said a burning ceremony was the respectful way to deal with a flag too damaged or soiled to fly.
Since you’ve posted about it, you’re now responsible. Torch it right there in the bin. It’s been drizzling this afternoon, so douse it with Old Crow first.
GRAB IT!!! I’ll use it as a cum rag!!
Wait. Is that a silhouette of Mickey Mouse on the flag towel?
If so, I think between that and the slogan this thing is probably altered sufficiently to technically not qualify as a flag. In which case, you’d just be wasting some cheap bourbon by burning it in the manner described by @3.
Old Crow is 80 proof and will not burn.
My fail – I’ve never lit drinkable booze on fire instead.
I only do before I shoot it.
“very patriotic towel” Man the strangers has some great reporters. When have you ever seen someone that is patriotic putting a mickey mouse logo on a flag. This is some liberal anti-corporation flag wanna be. A poor ripoff of the American flag with logos as stars.
“a passerby, who himself was wearing a leather coat partially emblazoned with the likeness of an American flag, picked it up, gave it a look, hesitated, and threw it all the way into the trash can before moving on. ” This is the real patriotic person. The look he gave was wft. He did the right thing and pushed it all the way into the trash can. People in Seattle wouldn’t know patriotism if it dropped a bomb on it’s head.
You mean the “last refuge of a scoundrel” type patriotism, @9? ‘Cause I’m totally with you if that’s the case.
