The Macklemore & Ryan Lewis vs. Pearl Jam vs. Slog Holiday Charity Challenge continues! By pitting the fans of these two great bands and America’s Best Blog™ against each other (in a friendly way!), we’ve raised almost $25,000 for YouthCare’s Orion Center in just five days. This money will help keep them providing food, shelter, safety, and alternatives to homeless youth—our most vulnerable fellow Seattleites. It’s cold out there, people, but together, we are keeping kids safe and warm. We’re one-fourth of the way to our goal!

Your contest was a great prompt to give money to the Orion Center. I was shocked to learn that they lost their funding… Why do I absolutely have to go to this show? It’s just destiny, plain and simple. I had a vivid dream last night in which Mark Arm and Jeff Ament played my friend and I in a two-on-two basketball game. We bet a 40 of old English on the game. I don’t even need to tell you who won, now ,do I? It’s quite clear that this needs to happen and it won’t without these tickets and won’t be drinking that cold 40 of Old E. So hook a brotha up, yo!
