Did you know that a schedule—some might even call it a calendar—of everything newsy you’ve ever wanted to do is now all in one place? IT’S TRUE. The News Calendar is real, it’s here, and it’s all that you’ve ever hoped for!
How’d this amazing thing come to be? Well. We in the News section have started compiling all the best political and current events events (yes, current events events) in the city. We’re aiming to keep track of every interesting/wonky/wowee zowee happening that civic groups and public figures are putting on during any given week. Turns out there’s a lot of them worth going to.
Thrill as you ride the Washington Bus’s Welcome Wagon. Cheer as you hear reporter Bob Woodruff talk about a bomb exploding in his face at Town Hall. (Actually, don’t cheer. That would be rude.) Laugh as Jean Godden strikes out at the 34th District Democrats’ candidate softball game. Gasp as Sound Transit reveals its plans for the Northgate Light Rail station.
It’s all on the News Calendar. Come back often. (And if you want to send information about your upcoming current event event: newscalendar@thestranger.com)

Awesome! In case you’re interested in knowing what to improve next, dear god in heaven please revamp the site’s search engine.
