In the wake of the Gulf oil spill, Florida voters oppose 51 – 42 percent increasing the amount of offshore oil drilling, a 48-point swing from the 66 – 27 percent support for drilling in an April 19 survey by the independent Quinnipiac University.

Via Al Gore, who adds, “I don’t think ‘drill baby drill’ will be a Republican chant this fall.”

Their minds must be changed so that they end up saying, “Yes on my beach front!” They will eventually come around to YOMBF since, after all, “nothing is worse than those noisy, electromagnetic-disrupting, bird-maiming, view-killing, tri-bladed wind turbines.”

    I’m telling you, people don’t give a shit. They don’t even give a shit about THEIR OWN STATE. As long as the freeway ramps are open and there’s parking at WalMart, nobody fucking cares. Blue toxic waste could be bubbling up out of their lawn and they’d still vote Republican.

  8. I’m a little freaked out that 42% are still okay with drilling, but it IS the south. I’ll assume the inbreeding causes that 42%.

  10. As long as it remains patriotic and Pro-American to allow multinational corporations to drill off the coast and sell the oil on the global market, people will still be chanting “Drill Baby Drill”.
