“He is easily among the most intelligent, creative, and articulate conservative voices in Americaโa fact, upon which I would be willing to bet a large sum of money, is what troubled the Times.”
Wow, he’s merely an idiot among complete retards so he deserves a monthly column… I guess the Post didn’t have enough weird brow furling. Well, not anymore!
another footnote in the history of people getting jobs based on profile, rather than skill. the man is not even an adequate intellect, let alone a significant one.
WaPo isn’t any less liberal than NYT – I’m not sure this move will improve his situation much. WaPo’s in a lot worse shape financially, too.
relax the post is filled with hack columnists, this is on average still a good turn of events. his intellectually dishonest ramblings will no longer have a forum in the paper of record
They could get Rick Santorum cheaper.
I wouldn’t mind his having a new column if they made him call it Kristolnacht.
Kristol 12 times a year is much, much better than Kristol 52 times a year.
That man was a festering boil on the editorial page of the Times. So glad he’s gone.
Fucking Moonies.
@9
Moonies – That would be the Washington Times not the Post.
The Post is a very conservative paper, so this move isn’t surprising at all. They’ve moved a long ways from bringing down Nixon.
@11 for the sad but true win.
WaPo lost a lot of their best political people when they left & created Politico. Their hiring Bill Kristol is like Washington Mutual hiring George W Bush as their new spokesperson.
Why would anyone object to a provocative pundit being added to the editorial pages?
Why is it the people who have done the most damage to this country, “conservatives”, never shut up? I mean , you’d think the American people would be so disgusted by their effete hubris they’d lynch them! Not us. We give them bullhorns to spout their nonsense.
@15: Then your arguments will surely stand on their own merit and Kristol’s contribution the debate should be a delightful exercise of the volley between conservatives and liberals. But you sound so hostile and fearful, it makes me think that the lady doth protest too much!
If only the International Herald Tribune could fire his ass.
