The folks behind I-1098 (the proposed tax hike for high-earners, covered in stark detail here) are hosting a fundraiser. Headliner Bill Gates, Sr. goes on at 5:30 p.m. It doesn’t feel so weird to support soaking the rich when the rich are advocating for it, too. (Home of Sen. Jeanne Kohl-Welles and Alex Welles, 301 W Kinnear Place, 5 to 7:30 p.m., $50 suggested contribution but all are welcome)
The mayor visits Pioneer Square for the first of four town hall meetings scheduled this month. If your diet has been short on cranks and curmudgeons lately, you will feel sated after attending this meeting. Bonus: just in case your question gets ignored, submit it to us now and hope it will be one of the lucky ten he answers when he visits Questionland this Wednesday.
