Good F-ing Design Advice

1. Here’s some design advice.

3. Not bad except the “this isn’t enough” link fails to refresh the page correctly. Seems like they should get this right or they lose their message.

4. Really? This is a site worth linking to? Not clever, not funny, not useful.

   But hey, he said “Fucking”! So that’s cool…

5. My first piece of advice was “Stop drinking so much fucking coffee.” That’s actually really good advice for me. Decaf all weekend, let’s see if I kill someone.

6. Mildly funny in places, and largely very truthful. I do take issue with “Make it fucking legible.” Legibility is overrated. Also, no more beating up on comic sans. Not because it doesn’t deserve a beating, but because now all non-designers understand that comic sans is a ridiculous typeface and think it’s funny to make fun of, and then they turn around and use Arial or TNR, the only two other fonts they know. Learn something about type before you start making fun of typefaces. I mean, why comic sans, why not giddyup or lumberjack? Of course the correct answer is that giddyup and lumberjack are awesome. But I’m just saying.

   Clearly I am ignoring their advice to “Stop fucking procrastinating.”

7. @6, clearly you don’t know any real non-designers, or you would have gone off on Algerian, AKA “the tequila bottle font”. Come on, baby, STRETCH that bitch while you’re at it.
