Today in the rapidly-growing list of dumb things Herman Cain says: Apparently, he believes that Barack Obama was “raised in Kenya.”

See, it’s okay for him to say untrue things because, um, he’s a black Republican.

  1. Republicans: trying to out-value the Democrats, now trying to “out-black” them as well.

I’m sure his message resonated with the legions of black millionaires and billionaires out there.

  2. It takes a Kenyan…to catch a Kenyan.
I’m only half joking; that nation has produced some insanely good runners, as noted by Powerthirst.

  3. I put that about on the level of Mr. Obama proclaiming he’d just visited 57 states with only a few more to go. Laugh if you must at his unfortunate blunder, but on matters of the economy, Mr. Cain is orders of magnitude more capable than the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

The Cain Train is picking up steam, folks! All aboard!

Check out this short compilation clip in which Herman Cain debates Obama, through the magic of Hollywood editing, on the merits of health care reform. It’s pretty funny, but one gets the impression that when Herman Cain debates Obama on race and when Herman Cain debates President Obama on the economy, Mr. Cain will take Obama to the woodshed.

  4. @3: It’s obviously impossible for Black Republicans to be bigots! Obviously you’re a crazyperson, but I still find the GOP assumption that Cain is untouchable because of his race (and that Obama is solely loved for his) to be hilarious.

  5. I put this about on par with Obama stating that he’d just visited 57 states with only a few more to go. Laugh if you must at Mr. Cain’s unfortunate blunder, but on matters of the economy, he’s orders of magnitude more qualified than Obama.

  6. First of all, even the Republicans don’t take black Republicans seriously.

Secondly, if that crack last week about making all bills three pages or less didn’t prove to anyone who knows what they’re talking about that this guy’s even more clueless than Sarah Palin, nothing will.
