(Edited to include mayoral candidate Mike McGinn—who announced on March 24 but apparently hasn’t filed papers at the city’s elections office yet—and to note that Nick Licata is the incumbent).

No knowing by instinct what he stands for, Mc Ginn is off to a very poor start.

I think his opening speech will taint his run to the ignominous ending.

City take over of Metro, ha ha ha ha …

  2. Based on prior elections, how many of these people do we figure will end up running for another position by the time we get to the Primary that most people will ignore, it being a wonderful August and we’ll all be trying to forget our worries?

  3. Where’s Stan Lippmann? Where’s Richard Lee?

Election season isn’t election season without Stan Lippmann and Richard Lee….

  4. Holmes Vs Carr? WTF? Seriously???!! What a joke! Holmes should not waste his time or money as he is not qualified, let alone eligible. But he doesn’t even know that which means he hasn’t even read the City Charter. What a chump!

  5. Both Miller and Rosencratz are claiming a Peter Steinbrueck endorsement on their respective websites. And Miller’s endorsement list includes his paid fundraising consultant, Colby Underwood. How compelling.

  6. @15 – After more than a couple people asked me (with some concern) why he wasn’t on the list, I added him.

I agree that County Councilman Bob Ferguson, Earth Day Founder Denis Hayes, Lisa Quinn, Moontown Foundation’s Stacey Noland, Peter Steinbrueck and a number of others in the business, environmental, and neighborhoods are much more compelling than Colby.

Peter, incidentally, has jointly endorsed for the primary so that’s why he’s on both web sites.
