  1. If you mean the deep meaning, it’s that the instantaneous image broadcast power of the web and digital cameras has turned street semiotics into a real time dialog that ignores geography. A sign or a statue or a piece of architecture was once defined by place, but being there no longer matters. This isn’t a particular inflatable snowman found only on one specific rooftop; he is experienced everywhere by everyone who cares to look. His geography is expanded to the limits of his fame, not limited by the sightlines of his location.
