This is happening, and it will be something to see/hear:
Fran Lebowitz: Public Speaking, A Conversation with Dan Savage and the Audience will be at Benaroya Hallโs Mark Taper Auditorium on March 2, 2012 at 8:00pm and plans to unite these two dynamic, sardonic social commentators on stage have been in the works for months. Together, they have agreed to have a little chat and take questions from the audience.
Full info and tickets available here.

Holy crap, that sounds amazing! I love the understatement of “have a little chat”.
Heh. I already got my tickets. Can’t wait.
I just, just, just can’t imagine Fran Lebowitz having to come to Seattle for any reason. It’s like when Frank Rich and Sondheim did their thing. Not that it’s not a great opportunity for us local yokels and all, but one must…steel oneself to not blush furiously that we live in a world where such persons would have to come…here. I had to walk out of last year’s Morrissey show before it even started – I could tell it wasn’t going to be a sellout and couldn’t face him, not even from the balcony. Have fun, everyone.
wtf is someone of Fran Lebowitz’s caliber doing talking to a stooge like Savage? in public no less!
Best.Title.Ever.
one can only hope that the conversation gets heated enough to get physical. Oh I’d pay extra to see the two of them go at it. And for the record…my money is on Fran.
I neglected to offer my congratulations to Dan. What a great rare opportunity.
She not bold enough to put one out in his face?
