ACT Theatre just announced their 2016 season, and all of the shows are now on our theater calendar.
On the heels of ACT’s 50th anniversary season, this marks the debut of incoming Artistic Director John Langs. Under his direction, ACT will put on eight shows next year that “reflect the current conversation in our city and the world,” starting with Buzzer, a play about gentrification that opens in February. Another highlight: next summer’s The Mystery of Love and Sex, written by Bathsheba Doran of Boardwalk Empire and Masters of Sex fame.
Tickets for Assassins, a Stephen Sondheim musical and 5th Avenue Theatre co-production, are on sale now. The rest go on sale on February 10. We’ll remind you, but, in the meantime, go check out their full season and mark your calendars for 2016.
