  1. apparently kevin’s weather-spotter is on the joke, but kevin is perhaps…not, (he’s been “trolled” as they say). well done, dan. you clever meme monster, you.

  2. I got a completely weird response to the email I sent to Marlee Ginter, which had as a subject line, “I’d be embarrassed to be you,” and included such high-minded gems as, “Honestly, your hysterical report about the Center for Sex Positive Culture was so extremely fallacious and unethical that you should immediately hang up your microphone and retire to barista purgatory before you damage anyone else’s reputation.”

She wrote, “Thank you so much for your response. It is flattering to see how many people are interested in the story! I’m assuming you’re a member as you seem very heated about this topic. And seeing it has gotten such feedback from all of the members I would love to speak with some of you about the story.

Feel free to contact me – I would love to do a follow up with you and any other willing members! Thanks again!”

    Erm?

Well, she can punctuate. I’ll give her that.

  3. @14: if that’s true, that makes you a loser commenting on the slog of a hack. Which is even worse than being a hack.

Dan is sticking up for a place that is sex-positive that was misrepresented by this wench’s misleading “reporting”. Yeah, the method’s a little bratty, but so what? Reporters know when they are doing sensationalistic bullshit. It’s great that someone is calling them on it. I’m tired of this whole freakin’ country acting like it never forgets its Puritan roots.

  4. So, you are a bunch of nasty, obese, greasy, std ridden freaks who want a tax deduction because you have special ed sex with each other? You’re the ones claiming the moral high ground?

I can understand why you freaks get uncomfortable when someone sheds light on your activities. You should be humiliated. You are gross.

  5. I agree with FredM in that you are gross, but for different reasons than FredM expressed. The more you bitch and whine about it without providing actual solutions, the more you seem like that old virulent (look it up, asshat) neighborhood guy yells at you virulent freaks to take your freak elsewhere (or, “get off of my lawn, you damned kids.”)

  6. The KOMO news room has discovered Slog! Welcome, KOMO news room interns. It’s so cute when they band together to defend their shitty programming.

  7. @20- good call, interns indeed. I like how 19 had to slip in their recent vocabulary accomplishments. Someone learned a new word! Congratulations mb, you are one step closer to that HS diploma!

  8. @13 – It appears to me, and you don’t have to be a titled expert, that Ms. Ginter knows that her email can be monitered by her superiors, and that if she sends out anything that could be considered inflammatory, she could be subject to disciplinary actions.

Anyone with half a brain knows that their employer has access to every email they send out from the office email server. And clearly Ms. Ginter has half a brain.

  9. Using the word “might” will not save Dan. It is obvious that this is a malicious attack, not satire. He wants to cause her harm. He wants her to lose her job. He wants her to be harassed. He wants her family to suffer because of his harassment. Anyone who reads this site can tell that this is not satire. If it were satire he would have stopped when people began to threaten her and her family. Instead it only geared him up to do more harm.

To claim that is is simply an adolescent frat-boy wannabe giggle fest would be inaccurate. This is Dan Savage’s malicious attempt to cause harm to someone. Was he named in the story? Was he directly provoked? Has this reporter maliciously tried to ruin his reputation because of his writings? I hope she hires a lawyer, this will be an easy victory.
