My babydaddy’s club night—TROUBLE @ FRED—is usually on the weekend. But this month’s TROUBLE goes down tonight to accommodate London’s MOCK & TOOF, who will be doing a live set at TROUBLE. (Dave Segal writes this week: “Mock & Toof create bleepalicious, infectiously melodic disco house that goes for pleasing understatement rather than glitter-banging obviousness.” A sample of MOCK & TOOF at work here.)
If you haven’t been to FRED yet… you’ll wanna head to TROUBLE just to check out the space and the amazing & enormous hi-def projections. I’m told it’s like dancing “inside an IMAX movie.” So, like, if you’re an IMAX fan who likes to dance this is your chance. Tonight’s TROUBLE is $7 at the door, or $5 if you pre-order your tickets through Stranger Tickets.
This post makes me think a good name for a DJ or for a nightclub would be ACRONYM
