Great game. The worst team ever to make it to the playoffs beats the defending Super Bowl Champions. And this has got to be one of the best rushing touchdowns in playoff history.
Tomorrow I root for the Ravens, but today, go Seahawks!

That, was a thing of beauty. The run, and the whole game really. Way to go Hawks!
Indeed!!
A thumb in the eye to all the H8ters!!
C-HOX!!!!!!!!1 ๐
“GET OFF ME!”
Incredible run, incredible game, I am still hoarse from yelling. The Hawks stunned everyone!
Fuck all of you, GO SEAHAWKS!!!
I could watch that run a thousand times and still enjoy it.
…but seriously, the Ravens? Ugh. KC all the way.
He brushes off #22 like a boss.
I’m nothing but a fairweather fan, but this play gave me the chills.
Haha! Did you see Hasselbeck get back in the play and shove those guys around? Damn he can run fast.
Fabulous. Thank you for posting this!
All smiles.
fletch @6: I could watch that run a thousand times and still enjoy it.
Really, slow-motion, real-speed, whatever. Just a work of art. It was like a video game the way those Saints tacklers just bounced off him in pairs.
The run was actually very reminiscent to me of James Harrison’s 99-yard interception return for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Super Bowl a couple years ago.
All in all, a historic run in what was a historic game, run or no run.
I think the whole thing is simply wonderful. Does this mean we are going to be in the World Series?
What makes the run most beautiful is the way Lynch pushes down that one guy. Just flattens him with his left hand. What a beast!
Plus when he does the head roll in the endzone and bounces up on all fours. Very cool!
Marshawn walks out of Thunderdome.
If the Packers beat the Eagles tomorrow, you guys are gonna get steamrollered next week. BEAR DOWN.
@13: You trollin’.
My brain still can’t accept that even though I saw it happen live on TV… It looked like special effects.
Reading the day’s news and, each time I’ve been bummed out, I open a new window and re-watch this clip. I’m up to 8 views, not including the real-time versions this afternoon.
Thanks, Seahawks. Way to make the town proud.
#9: YES! Hasselbeck was there. I can’t remember a Seahawks quarterback putting his neck out like that. The whole damned offense was there blocking and protecting. THAT is how a team should play.
I’m impressed all to hell with Hasselbeck and the whole team. That’s how it should be.
Also: I’m in Denver. There’s a Saints fan bar a few blocks from where I’m staying. My bizniss partner and I selected it to watch the game, and man, I felt baaaad for those guys. But not that bad.
Go Hawks!
@20 feeling bad for saints fans has all kinds of last-year, katrina stuff wrapped up in it but also makes me think to them, yo, what are you doing in denver?? go support your city!!
Cannot wait to here the opinion of the strangers version of New York Vinny (Chicago whatever) forget his name, but he has always been wrong in the past. I do know that he has never set foot in Seattle and never been to a Hawks game. All the more worthy of speaking on behalf of the stranger.
*hear
Also,
I met at least 10 NO fans tonight at the bar after the game and they were nothing but respectful, friendly, and down for a good time. respect to them…
Congrats to all the Seahawks fan. That run was a thing of beauty. The guy Matt got down field and help in the blocking. The Hawks were hungry.
Just to be clear, No way in HELL are the Packers beating my Eagles. Hawks play the Falcons in Hotlanta.
@22, Chicago Fan comes from a family that does seem to enjoy a good scrap now and then – have fun.
I know this city is excited, but really….one of the best runs ever???…how about the poorest excuse of tacking ever!
hey congrats y’all, and when you want to party and have a good time come on down to New Orleans. We welcome all y’all visitors from other cities!
@17: after losing AT HOME to these same 7-9 Seahawks THIS SEASON, you talk smack? did you forget about that? that means you should hope you play the Eagles.
@29: Are you worrying you can’t beat us again?
I’m sorry, bro, now we have an offensive line. Look at how we did before our bye week (when you guys BARELY beat us) as opposed to after our bye week. The Bears will chew you up and spit you out if you come to Soldier Field this postseason.
Art Modell is a piece of shit and no one should ever root for the Ravens (plus Ray Lewis killed a guy).
@30: Chicago probably will win a rematch. i’m a realist. they should have won last time, because they were playing the 7-9 Seahawks, who suck. but they didn’t. they BARELY lost. the Saints should have won yesterday, because they were playing the 7-9 Seahawks, who suck. but they didn’t. they BARELY lost. on any given Sunday, etc., ad nauseum.
@32: That’s what I’m saying here. Come at me bro.
Absolutely not worrying that the Hawks cant beat the FIBs again. Of the teams remaining in the play-offs the FIBs are the least frightening.
