When I last checked yesterday, there were around 300 votes and Clive Owen held a firm lead.
Today, there are over 1000 votes and Martin Freeman’s got 60 percent of ’em.
Was there some pro-Martin Freeman Facebook push? Or did the world finally come to its senses and realize Martin Freeman’s nose is clearly the best?
Whatever the case: good job, democracy!

Or someone figured out how to repeat-vote, which is pretty easy.
From the original comments I think robots made up their minds that your post was asking not “whose face wang is best” but “whose face wang is this”.
fuck gloomy gus. isn’t possible in your shallow narrow view that perhaps people do prefer Mr. Freeman’s schnoz over the other inferior ones?
Go cry over your pics of Adrian Brody already would you?
Angry robots, I should say.
3: Shut your mouth. I love Gloomy Gus. (But I do not love the nose of Adrian Brody. If anyone got unfairly ignored by this poll, it’s Liam Neeson. I prefer a sturdy nose to a spindly one.)
There is no accounting for taste. Let’s face it, Freeman looks pleasant and inoffensive, people aren’t judging the noses, they’re voting comfort level. Had the noses alone been shone in profile with no identification, the results would probably have been much different. I am left to wonder, what’s not to like about the youthful Marlon Brando’s features?
Actually, I think Martin Freeman got wind of this and wanted to win so badly that he tweeted the link to the poll. It’s a the little things.
As I said on the other thread: Fine, whatever. More Clive Owen for the rest of us.
Pshh! Adrien Brody has the BEST nose!
Spindly my ass! Adrien could fit Liam Neeson’s entire head in a single nostril!
(Confession: I have a Freeman nose and so tritely wish I had a Brody one. I can overlook most any flaw to get with a protuberant man.)
@6, you do have a point.
Eat it, Fnarf, because each and every one of those votes are legit. Mwhaha!
Okay, in all seriousness, I admit to hijacking the vote. I posted to a forum for BBC’s new show, Sherlock, in which Martin Freeman plays a badass Dr. Watson. I’m really impressed, actually- I expected maybe two hundred votes from the fangirls, and ended up with something like seven hundred.
And while Martin Freeman clearly does have the best face wang, you may also want to check out Benedict Cumberbatch’s mouth. And his most excellent name.

And please, for the love of zombie jesus, amend this post with the above link. This show is epic and because it’s airing on PBS, isn’t getting any real advertisement exposure the way it does in Canada and the UK. See it. And if you don’t want to do the bad thing, I’ll mail a copy to the office.
Thanks!
Man, you nose fanciers haven’t seen anything until you’ve checked out the schnozzness that is Mr. Bob Hope. Or his friend.
Stilettov, never underestimate the fangirls!
And yeah, between Freeman and Cumberbatch, this Sherlock reboot has set panties alight in a big way. I haven’t seen a fandom response like this in years.
@11. PBS is getting it? Sweet. But yes… more promotion for this excellent show.
@13 The comm I posted to has four thousand fucking members, and that’s since the show first aired in Britain in late July. 9 million viewers in the UK, which..you know, is a big deal for the UK.
@14 Fuckin’ a. Unfortunately nobody but PBS really picks up on BBC minis, because they aren’t made with the violent need for profit hanging over them, and minis don’t really fit into most programming specials anyway, so they’re not really a good investment from a business point of view. Maybe someone like SciFi would pick it up, but that seems unlikely. There is profit involved, of course (obviously the dvds are being released and what have you) but the BBC is paid for by TV license, so they don’t have to contend with advertisers.
By the way, if like the Cumberbitch, there’s another brilliant BBC mini called The Last Enemy, which is streaming on Netflix. It also has Max Beesley and Robert Carlyle in it, so it’s a whole big world of quality acting.
Pfft, why does everyone assume stuff happens on Facebook? There are MUCH better ways of advertising these types of polls.
How did Brando fare so poorly in this survey? How?
@ stilettov
9mil in the UK would be about 46mil in the US. How many viewers do your big shows get?
Fnarf – Wrong!
@More, I say! – Wrong!
@Callie
“Actually, I think Martin Freeman got wind of this and wanted to win so badly that he tweeted the link to the poll. It’s a the little things.”
Wrong!

Wrong!
@20-23: LOL. Could be dangerous.
@24 Psychopath!
#25 You know where to find me.
@ 25 – Highly functional sociopath! Do your research.
Hey now, there was at least one fanboy vote. 😛
Facebook? Facebook!? No, it was Livejournal.
(But yes, Sherlock fans.)
I still like Joseph Cotten’s. Understated and classy, but still strong and determined. A face wang that knew what it wanted and where it was going.
I love you too! (too much too little too late, I mind my manners).
@28 OH MY GOD, A FANBOY? Yay!
Not that I don’t love the girls, but…look! A fanboy!
@27 Don’t talk out loud. You lower the IQ of the whole street.
Don’t be an idiot. It was BBC Sherlock fans from livejournal. We support our actors!
@32 Try not to start a war on the way home. You know what it does to the traffic.
Hahaha. Noooo! Troll is wrong! Adrien Brody’s nose is the clear and worthy winner. Never have I witnessed so majestic and hawk-like a face-wang on such an equally delightful face.
@34 Always so resentful.
@35 Wrong!
