Bill Sherman, previously a candidate for state representative (the 43rd District seat went to Jamie Pedersen) and King County prosecuting attorney (Dan Satterberg won reelection) is joining the seven-member Seattle Ethics and Elections Commission, after a unanimous City Council vote yesterday. Sherman said recently that he has no intention of running for office again any time soon (the latest inquiries were about running for King County Executive, the seat Ron Sims is vacating); the last ethics board member to go on to public office was Tim Burgess, who served on the board for 12 years and was elected to the Seattle City Council in 2007.

Bill Sherman, the people’s champion!
Has Jamie Pedersen done a damn thing in the past two-plus years?
