  1. Depending on what ends up happening with Social Security and Medicare in the next few years we may want to stock up on this stuff.

  2. All addictions begin with a “first time use.” However, somehow I doubt that a single dose of Oxidado will require a user to spend a week in detox to recover.

  3. This smells like bullshit. A new drug that’s more addictive, less expensive, unusually dangerous, easy to make, popular with poor people, kills users… and now it’s being smuggled into cities! Maybe it’s totally true this time, but this is the lie–the lie behind the whole murderous, idiotic drug war–that we’ve been told about literally every single drug that has any name recognition. Heroin, OxyContin, pot, cocaine, crack, meth… it’s always this fear-mongering crap.

  4. @9, ah, jenkem. So many memories.

Also, glue. The glue-sniffing epidemic of the 60s and 70s was entirely invented by, and then spread by, the media.

  5. I share the skepticism of the previous posters; it may be devastating to long-term addicts, but addicted after the first try? Contradicts everything I have read about the neurological foundations for addiction…and, btw, isn’t that the same stuff that has been around in Argentina for a while as “paco”. It sounds very similar.

  6. @4 – It’s a Plan B add for me. From the part of the screen I can see, this newscast has the vibe of a high school newspaper report with Daily Show production values.
