I am in Los Angeles for the weekend. So far it is uneventful. I have looked everywhere, but no sign of Clooney. I’m starting to get worried.
- In the distance you can see Forest Lawn Cemetery where my Great-Grandma Flo is buried. (Also Elizabeth Taylor.) Hi, Great-Grandma Flo!

- I never thought I’d be the kind of Seattleite who complains about coffee, but seriously. Look at this janky-ass latte.

- Oh, insects. Insects and their ways.

- Hey, bird, what the FUCK is up with your head!?!?!?!!!? HOW DO YOU FLY WITH THAT THING!? I don’t trust you, big-head stupid bird.

- I am staying in a pink mansion down the street from the LaBianca house. Pro tip: When you search for “labianca house” to find out the exact address, you will discover that Google has many nice “labiaplasty” websites to show you.

- Do not touch anything. Everything belongs to Goe. YOU DO NOT WANT TO MAKE GOE ANGRY!!!!!

It’s true, I used a can of mushroom soup that was Goe’s, back when we were roommates, and he actually threatened me with a knife. His girlfriend convinced him to just accept my apology and two cans of mushroom soup, but it was real tense there for a minute.
If you want to look for George Clooney, if he isn’t at his Italian Villa on Lake Como, or Lake Garda, or whatever, I had seen him in leathers at the Pacific Palisades, West Sunset Farmer’s Market, which is either on a Saturday or a Sunday. He is much taller than I thought, and he was with a bunch of 40-50 somethings who kind of look like him out of a for a morning motorcycle ride…
I’m hanging out in the super boring area of LA/So. Cal at the moment, kind of yearning to be back in the Puget Sound Area…
Isn’t Clooney in Michigan filming something or another?
It’s 10050 Cielo Dr., FYI.
I think I see my house in that first one.
@4 that is the former Tate/Roman Polanski house, that was once of home of Terry Melcher and afterwards, Trent Reznor in Benedict Canyon. I think La Bianca house is in the Los Feliz area.
everything goe’s is making me laff hard.
Welcome to LA. Sorry about all the rain nonsense.
Oh, have a brilliant time. Please post about your trip a lot lot lot.
CoffeeBar @6th and Spring downtown is the first place I’ve found in this city that makes decidedly non janky-ass coffee. Hooray for new “business strategies” &c. Also: Vivace beans. Check it.
Swing by Eagle Rock and say hi to your alma mater. It’s probably as rainy as it is in Los Feliz though, so sorry about that.
If you haven’t been already, please go to Pizzeria Mozza. Delicious!
Clooney’s in Detroit shooting the last movie there before the new Reptilian Governor shuts down the film industry in Michigan. After that you’ll find him in Toronto or Vancouver.
Ah, to be on the roof of The Standard Hotel in LA, on a warm, sunny late afternoon, sipping a glass of chardonnay (or four), and seeing the sun go down and the Beautiful Young Things come out.
LA is a great place to be a non-descript middle-aged white man, because you are almost invisible. It makes for great people watching.
If iI had the money for a second place, i think it would be in downtown LA, right by Union Station.
You really should do a tour of Forest Lawn Cemetary: it’s like Disneyland for the Dead.
Anyone who has read The Loved One, owes it to themselves.
That is not a latte. Eeew.
I thought I read about a month ago that George was in Cincinnati filming a movie. Some big deal, since this is the first movie he has made in his (sorta) hometown.
