The type is okay on its own, I guess. The orange gradient box looks very web 2.0 to me and when you add the script type and the daisy, the whole thing looks like a logo for a cheap motel circa 1970. Ugh.
if the Seattle Met were trying to be yet-another-social-media-button then yeah, score! 🙂
I’m with @3. The type isn’t bad, but the application cheapens it into web icon. Or maybe that graphic is a web icon.
Also, I like some of the earlier iterations better. They have more character.
I would have gone with the chocolate-syrup one. It actually looked a little hand-crafted.
The end product already dates itself.
I don’t care so much how it looks (I do really like the typeface/font, btw ) but I love the making of story. Fascinating…
