Dan, care to “weigh in”? (heh heh heh… sigh…)

A dating site that markets itself as an elite community for beautiful people with a “strict ban on ugly people” has axed about 5,000 members for packing on the pounds during the holiday season.

The international site BeautifulPeople.com threw out members after they posted photos “revealing that they have let themselves go,” according to a company statement.

Dating site for beautiful people expels ‘fatties’ after holiday weight gain

  1. Any time somebody creates an asshole pool like this, the rest of us should jump for joy. Go play by yourselves, assholes!

  2. Sure: asshole website run by assholes for assholes tosses out some assholes who displeased some other assholes by gaining some weight over the holidays.

    Assholes, though, all of ’em.

  3. This is just a publicity stunt. Also I would bet there is a fair amount of just weird anti-social narcissism. How many people are dating sites are fake? Now do you think this site has more or less flakes?

  4. I bet most of the customers on that site are 19 year old guys who are more bronzed than an Oompa Loompa, and the women are all porn-bots.

  5. On second thought this is definitely fake. There is no way 5,000 members uploaded pics after the holidays. Also a person who is in great shape can have many “cheat” meals before they actually start to get chubby. This is either a complete fabrication or a stretch based on 5 members who they let go around this time of year.

  6. I understood that being a memeber is based on how the other members rank you. That members vote on other members. That being asked to leave is because the other beautiful members think you’ve grown too round. So, one queen bee and her worker bees could eliminate someone.

    Beautiful indeed.

Or, it could be a fake.

  7. I’m w/ you Pack, this is Grade A American Bullshit.

You know, I’d buy his “just being honest” shtick except for one thing. He used the term ‘fatty.’ It’s way down on the list of insult severity– below ‘retard’ and above ‘goober’. Still, it’s an insult, which tells me this guy’s site is more about getting off on his looks & putting other people down than it is about being “honest.”

If he was _really_ honest, he’d say, “Our clientele isn’t interested in getting laid, but in propping up our weak egos by making other people feel bad.”

  8. Sorta a brilliant company model reallyโ€”get a bunch of insecure recluses to voluntarily rate each other, and the “winners” pay you a membership fee.
