I wonder if this guy praises the Lord after every successful bowel movement.
I bet he’s one of those folks who spends 20 minutes driving around a crowded parking lot, praying for a good spot. Then finally, after a half-hour of circling, he finally gets a spot by the front and exclaims, “Praise Jesus! God has provided me a parking spot according to his riches and glory!”*
*I have personally witnessed such a thing while driving with a conservative Christian family member.
Pardon my ignorance, but who is this Rev. Hutch person? I gather he is a Seattle area pastor, but what’s his deal? Why is he the object of so much scorn from Slog readers?
@3: because he’s a bigot, and a douche nozzle.
Thou shall not kill, much?
sick twisted opportunistic shitbag
More than likely this “Pheasant Hunt” he participated in was on a bird farm designed specifically for the hunting of game birds by non-hunters. From personal experience, the premise is this: The people running the farm raise pheasants and other birds in cages. When it’s time for a “hunt”, they drive the cages to various spots around their acreage and turn them loose. Having been domesticated, the birds don’t fly off. Then the “hunters” arrive with their dogs and start walking the field. The dogs run ahead and flush out the recently uncaged birds, which flutter a few dozen feet into the air in front of the “hunters”, who then shoot them with shotguns. If the ground is too wet, the birds can’t get very high so they just run along the ground, chased by the dogs. I’ve seen guys pick the birds up in their hands and throw them up in the air so they can shoot them.
After the “hunt”, the hunters return to the lodge where they are then given pheasant meat that has been previously dressed and then refrigerated. (Not even birds from their particular hunt.)
They then take that trophy meat home to feed their families, as is the american way.
idiot, its the joe foss institute not invitational. you have to pay to go. let me know if he says how the hunting was, i’m doing my sodak pheasant hunting later his month! woo hoo.
Wasn’t this guy supposed to be on Bill Maher? Did I miss it?
Praise the Lordy, I just shot a helpless little animal. Makes me feel like such a man.
Let us pray that all such douchebags are able to share their enthusiasm for the hunt in the same space and time as Dick Cheney.
Shootin’ at the walls of unrighteousness. BANG! BANG!
