This is no where near enough. The numbers around $830 Billion were too little. You have no clue how fucked we are and how badly Obama is going to loose in 2012.
Shit, we are fucking screwed beyond belief. You have no clue.
We’re going to need a lot more cash real soon.
We still haven’t reset the outstanding mortgages that caused the problem, or forced the banks to lend.
This is, at best, part one of three (more like five).
35% in tax cuts? What an awful bill.
Alright! Less spending on education and health care (Who needs those?! Hippies and abortionists, that’s who.) and more tax cuts, which have been proven to work again and again! We’re saved!
I’ve got your Stimulus Package RIGHT HERE, Congress…
I think this is only the first recovery bill. We’ll have another when it becomes clear this one wasn’t enough, and we’ll probably know that by Christmas.
That’s not counting the stand-alone bills for transportation, health care, etc. that are likely to happen at some point.
This isn’t enough by itself, but it’s only the first step. If this is all we end up getting then we’re fucked, by I doubt it’s all we’ll get.
Fuck this compromise bullshit. Where the fuck is Al Franken with my goddamned filibuster?
Hold on! I have a better idea: do nothing. You can accomplish everything by doing absolutely nothing.
@7 for the win.
AJ – is that how you’ve managed to get so fat?
throwing pixel money and more pixel debt. we are so fucked and have been since reagan. and no one has done any better. they are all from the same school of assholes.
Tax cuts are the different side to same coin with government spending. To both partisans that support it, the number can’t ever be to the amount that satisfies them. Tax cuts are never low enough and government spending is never high enough.
@10: Working out 5x a week, eating 250-275g of protein daily, lifting my own weight.
You can do it, too!
You are trying to get fat, alex. I wouldn’t work on something like heart disease.
It’s like you’re a bug chaser.
A good compromise pleases no one.
@14: Big juicy delicious bugs! Nom nom nom. Can you get those in Shoreline?
dang, Abby for runner up. Most of the market drop is because they didn’t get a bailout for free with trucks of cash backing up to their greedy mouths.
@ 15,
That is total bullshit. You’re assuming as in game theory that the players are rational and not raving, Reagan-channeling, tongue-talking, face-biting lunatics.
Republicans are hoping the bill will fail, and thus the economy will collapse further, in order to better their political prospects in 2010 and 2012. That’s some downright evil shizzle even for them.
