Just forwarded to me by a P-I reporter who notes that the time stamps on their e-mails have been off ever since the weirdness last night.

  1. I was right — last night I predicted the Tuesday death of the PI:
“Earlier this evening the PI site @ nwsource.com (the Seattle Times Master site, I think) — said the SeattlePI URL no longer existed — they are doing some sort of massive changeover today. Separating the Times and the PI and launching a new site — or so I suspect. The PI is probably out of business on St. Patrick’s Day.”

  2. the end. this wouldnt be such a boring story if it hadnt been dragged out over days and days and days like a dripping tap that wont stop

  3. I noticed the outage Sunday night too – and correctly surmised it mean they’re pulling the plug.

I’ll hoist a Guinness to them at the 43rd Dems meeting and St Patty’s day on Tuesday night at NE 50th and Univ Way NEth … don’t really like the stuff, but it’s St. Pat’s.

  4. Only assholes drink their only Guinness of the year on St. Patrick’s Day.

Do you have a Corona at Azteca on Cinco de Mayo? Yeah, I’ll bet you do.

St. Paddy’s is the WORST day of the year to drink Oirish. Amateur night.

  5. Hearst Corporation pull plug on Seattle P-I print edition, Seattle P-I publish final print edition, freak out, online-only out, SEATTLE P-I BECOME ONLINE-ONLY NEWSPAPER!

ONLINE-ONLY SEATTLE P-I WILL SMASH ONLINE-ONLY SEATTLE TIMES!

And no, I don’t feel like letting it go.
