  1. How many slog posts will you be able to hang a link to your big story on today? I’d like to propose you go for twenty before sundown. You can do it.

  2. its not a conflict. its not a war. but it sure does help sell ads when you get people all worked up about nothing. yeah, some cyclists have died. yeah, that really sucks. but no, their deaths are not proof that there is a war going on here in seattle.

  3. I think the funny part is expecting Mayor McGinn to show real leadership. How THAT wasn’t pointed out as hilarious yet is pretty shocking

  4. I really dont see McGinn offering any ideas that make sense, Hiller will simply push ideas that provide safety for cyclists, at the expense of drivers. Theyre already skating on thin ice with prop1 (60$ car tab option) that hands a blank check to the city. Why not go for broke and ask for more money to provide a concrete seperator for all bike lanes.

  5. Great article.

Only someone who hates Seattle – and the Rule of Law – would support the car criminals who murder Seattle Citizens on their bikes.

  6. @8 @4 seriously, grow the fuck up. Tens of thousands of people die before their time every. Fucking. Day. That you can’t see the cynicism behind the Stranger’s ridiculous bullshit of an imaginary conflict between drivers and cyclists speaks to your unending naivete. It’s not an epidemic. It’s not a war. It’s a completely arbitrary, made up issue by a bunch of self-righteous assholes trying to sell ad-space by blowing some deaths that fall well within the statistical probability completely out of proportion. They are tragic. They shouldn’t have happened. But they are fucking accidents.
