It’s long, but you’re going to want to watch it all the way to the end. You’ll cheer and then… you’ll remember that she’s talking to Democrats, and so her adviceโ€”do it alone, the country needs youโ€”won’t be taken.

  1. well maybe obama should stop promoting this myth and going on and on about bipartisan solutions and meeting them in the white house. since it’s a myth, ya know?

and since adopting this myth is hypocritical, ya know?

oh wait, MAYBE HE DOESN’T REALIZE it’s a myth!!!!

  2. Republican “hypocrisy” is not the Democraps’ or Obama’s problem.

    Democrapic INCOMPETENCE is their problem.

You can’t beat something with NOTHING.

Even if that ‘something’ is a pathetic hypocritical hogwash.

    The Democraps got NOTHING.

    Let us make some suggestions:

    1-Put forth some concrete proposals-
(not “let the Congress hash something out…)

2- Push and Promote those concrete proposals. Rally public support.

3- Fight for the proposals in Congress.
Bloody some noses. or at least get your own nose bloody.

Name ONE ISSUE Obama has done this for in 13 months….
    exactly.

(ps Maddow is a longwinded clueless windbag. Find a new fetish…)

  3. Man, wait till the “liberal media” starts running this story 24/7!

And I mean wait. It will be a cold day in hell before a network, CNN, Fox or anybody other than Maddow/Olberman talks about this.

  4. The next video that you can click on once this one finishes is: “Dylan Plays the White House.” That’s where our priorities lie right there…

  5. @3: if you watched the clip all the way through, that’s the point she ends on. The Democrats need to grow up and shove legislation through, Republicans be damned.

  6. What happens if Obama says that he wants the Republicans to blindly disagree with him no matter what they actually think? Do they explode? Does the universe explode? What explodes?

  7. 6
    you’re right.
but the damn clip is over 10 minutes, I had typed and posted my own longwinded screed before I got to the end of Maddow…

(if it’s going to be “Required Viewing” maybe we could edit it down to the actual good stuff?…)

  8. Dems are just frozen numb after MA, and they’re just fearing a repeat of the same in the upcoming races, but they need to understand that if they don’t grow a pair that’s precisly what’s going to happen. Someone needs to send a viral email list of these all over the nets. Don’t let those jerks off the hook for one moment.

  9. @7: The Constitution doesn’t say 50 votes one way or the other, dumbass. It leaves the rules of the Senate up to the Senate to decide.

Which, upon retrospect, maybe wasn’t such a bright idea.

  10. @14- Yes it does. Well it says that for a normal bill “a majority and the Vice president breaks a tie.” It leaves the voting and debating procedures up to the Senate, which is where the filibuster comes in.

  11. I have such a crush on Rachel Maddow.

I don’t even follow US politics (I’m one of those ignorant, Canadian teenagers), but I’ll watch her show.

  12. my son just asked me if that was a girl or boy? I told him I didn’t know, but the person was very stupid. he agreed. pretty smart 4 year old. maybe we can all come to a concensus that rachel should get some talent.
