Zombies may be pretty far past their expiration date, and music game sales may be sputtering, but mashups are still a thing, right? Yeah? No? Well, Epicenter Studios is hoping that by this summer, we’ll be feeling nostalgic for a time when all you needed to stave off an infestation of the living dead was a repurposed console guitar controller. Behold Rock of the Dead:

Maybe you’re detonating those big, glammy crystals using the power of rock? Voice talent includes nerd stars Neil Patrick Harris and Felicia Day, so it may be worth a few of your dollars and hours. Time will tell.

Zombies are past their expiration date? I dunno… I just downloaded Plants vs. Zombies for my iPod touch, and it’s pretty damn good.
The next thing is sparkling vampire zombies that shapechange into glitter unicorns with fangs.
