This Saturday, the Rat City Rollergirls will be competing on the home turf of the banked track Tilted Thunder Rail Birds in a roller derby smackdown.
The first bout will be the Tilted Thunder Killer-Bโs going up against the Dockyard Derby Dames from Tacoma. But the real excitement of the evening will be a knockdown, drag-out fight between the Tilted Thunder All-Stars and Grave Danger, the season champions from Rat City Rollergirls.
See the hot outfits, root for your favorite jammer, and watch the skaters fly around the crazy-tilt banked track.
Saturday, December 17, 5:00 p.m., Comcast Arena in Everett, 2000 Hewitt Ave, advance tickets $15 adult/$10 twelve and under, day of bout tickets $17 adult/$12 twelve and under.

What happened to bouts at Key Arena?
@1- I’m pretty sure this is just a one off, as their website clearly states that all of the 2012 season bouts will still be at Key Arena.
Tilted Thunder plays at Comcast Arena, Rat City at Key Arena. This one is hosted by Tilted Thunder on their banked track (like the one in “Whip It” or old school roller derby in the 70’s.). It’s faster play and the hits are harder.
Tilted Thunder Rail Birds are a banked track league who bouts at Comcast Arena in Everett. They invited Grave Danger to bout on the TTRB banked track. That’s why it’s at Comcast. TTRB is the host. It’s derby but some of the rules are different. i.e. 1 minute jams, no stoping on the track, skaters serve penalties after the jam ends, not during the jam, etc. The falls look harder, the hits are harder, the speed is faster all because of the angle of the track.
@4- good to know. I’ll be there!
It might be faster, but since the track is almost twice as long as a flat track it feels the same from a fan perspective.
