It always reminded me of a Denny’s for some reason…
Well, that was fun. Can we bring back Spags now?
@1: Note the datestamp.
Well Herr Schlottenhaferbundenunteroberstürmbannführer…looks like you’ll need to find a new bar.
@3 YES!!! BRING BACK SPAGS!!!
The Satellite was always a “meh” kind of place. The pours were strong and cheap – if you could stand the interminable wait for table service, which was always as slow as molasses in January. The food was so-so, and the atmosphere was about as nondescript as you could get.
Nobody is going to be screaming bloody hell that they’ve gone under, and whatever takes its place, even if it’s another damned sugary treats dispenser, would be an improvement.
I really do hope for the best for anyone who opens a bar on Capitol Hill but I was never thrilled by Satellite Lounge. And everyone knows I’m easily entertained and not picky at all.
the decor was u-g-l-y there…and not even in that ironic way…..
goodbye to the last authentic spot on the hill. i declare the neighborhood dead.
$$$$ it was reasonable – no 10.00 cocktails – you all are a bunch of fucking yuppies – burger/fries was just fine, a few years back the bartender was a cutie
many of you need to go back to Redmond and Kirkland and Bellevue
too bad, and it will be replaced by ………. who knows, but, at twice the price
Satellite never carded. I could bring all my 18 yr old dates there.
