Tomorrow: If you’ve got a bug up your ass about what’s been happening during the state’s 2011 legislative session—proposed cuts to education or funding for 4Culture, for instance—here’s your chance to tell Seattle representatives what’s on your mind before they head back to Olympia.

Join state House Speaker Frank Chopp, state Senator Ed Murray and state Representative Jaimie Pedersen for Washington’s 43rd District Townhall. Loving or hating the pot legalization bill? Gay marriage? Strip clubs that serve alcohol? The course of the conversation is solely where you wish to take it. (Seattle First Baptist Church, 1111 Harvard Ave, 2 p.m., free)

  1. Do it people!! Austerity doesn’t work. But when it comes to education, we should just run a debt so WA has a well trained generation.

  2. sadly, @1, sps school board policy makes that impossible: sps cannot spend more money than it takes in, it’s rule numero uno. but damn, do i agree with you.

  3. @3

Your absolutely correct, but the state and feds can easily run a deficit if they create a contract that eliminates said debt. But we bottom feeders are paying for the tops mistakes.
