Police believe they’ve apprehended a woman responsible for seven incidents of ladder-related larceny in the Seattle area.
According to a March 2nd police report, a woman carrying a ladder entered an office building, and told an employee she was an electrician and was there to change the lights. The employee left her desk, and when she returned, the ladder-carrying bandit said she needed to get a bigger ladder and took off.
Hours later, the employee noticed her wallet was missing and called the building manager to ask about the suspicious handywoman. The manager said he hadn’t sent an electrician to the building.
Four days later, police received another call from another officer worker in Eastlake, who again reported seeing a woman come into her office carrying a ladder. Again, the handywoman claimed she was working on the building.
After the ladder bandit left, the officer worker noticed her wallet was missing and found that someone had made unauthorized charges to her credit cards.
Police believe this ladder larcenist is responsible for a total of seven robberies, where the woman used a ladder as a prop. According to department sources, the woman is in custody but has not yet been charged for the robberies.

But… doesn’t she have to buy a new ladder from the proceeds of the previous job, and doesn’t that cut into the profit margin?
This is just one more example of how liberals have made us less secure.
40 years ago, everybody would have known that a broad shouldn’t be walking around with a ladder pretending to know about electronics.
These aren’t robberies, they are thefts. A robbery requires force or the threatened use of force. Tricking someone with a prop and pilfering a purse is a theft.
If there were no actual witnesses to the thefts, and none of the merchandise is recovered, I’m curious if she actually WILL be charged?

No matter what, that’s an impressively clever way to go about stealing shit from people. I’m jealous.

When I read it the first time, I assumed she took the ladder with her.
Reading it a few more times, I can’t say for sure.
Maybe a little reporting and clear writing would make it obvious. Or maybe that is exactly how the police report reads and the blogger was just parroting it as if he were writing a police blotter.

I urge you to understand, the answer to your question won’t make us any safer — in fact it would be quite detrimental to an entire demographic.
There’s a reason why media outlets have stopped reporting suspect descriptions when the only physical attributes they know are the race and sex. It’s fuel on the fire for racial profiling.
