What comes next for a school district rocked by financial scandal will be one of the topics of discussion Thursday at 3 p.m. as interim Superintendent Susan Enfield and Seattle School Board President Steve Sundquist meet with the Seattle Times Editorial Board.

You’ve got to be kidding. We live in a market where private sector jobs lure the best talent with the highest salaries. Educators in this country are not respected and the profession is not even considered professional. Great senior level administrators can only be brought in with the same money that could be offered to executives elsewhere in the country but for far less, unfortunately. I want to the person in charge of my kid’s education to be smart and capable. They are in charge of the largest district in the state, 8000 employees, $560 million dollar budget and 47000 kids. Pay them what a top level exec pays so we can get the best talent. One way or another, you’re going to pay. Now or later…
So they can “livestream” this, but the Kerlikowske meeting is way too technically advanced? Forget Dominic & Blethen blowing each other. I think it’s Kerlikowske & Blethen!
