Remember last week when Republican Senator Jon “factual statement” Kyl said during a floor speech that, “If you want an abortion, you go to Planned Parenthood, and that’s well over 90 percent of what Planned Parenthood does,” when in actuality, abortion is roughly three percent of what Planned Parenthood does?
Kyl has had his gross lie redacted from Congressional records. Poof! Gone forever! Like it never happened!
Thank God he can now put that whole embarrassing flap behind him and focus on what’s really important—installing a billion-dollar double-layered fence at the border (minus the crocodile moat, too expensive) to keep out the Mexicans.
Curtsies to Jennifer.

Between Kyl and the Birther Bill and the destroyed economy and Jan “fifteen minutes of silence” Brewer and Joe Arpaio, who stands accused of diverting close to $100 million from his supposed job as sheriff, and all the other crooks and pinheads running it, it is apparent that the Failed State of Arizona has displaced Florida as the go-to source for stupid and illegal. When will the Republicans there get their comeuppance?
Steven Colbert wins again!
Interesting that the thing that sticks with guys like Kyl is making them look like a fool. Call ’em evil, call ’em ignorant, they could care less. But make them look like an idiot–that they feel.
So, what would happen if another Senator were to read Stephen Colbert’s commentary into the record, could Kyl alter that?
If a sitting US Senator has his “press person” denounce his OWN comment as “not meant to be a factual statement” and then goes ahead and denounces the press person… a blood vessel just burst in my eye.
@5, thank you for maintaining such a clear link between the racist, crazy, and illiterate threads of the American kook right wing.
@3 a good question.
@5 waste of time. you guys still don’t get that you’re now the minority.
@5
Pretty sure the ‘dirt bag mexicans’ already get a shot at 5 years hard labor…picking and packing our food.
Fortunately for the reality-based community, the Congressional Record is big fat load of steaming poo which has always been stage-managed and edited to reflect more glory on the participants in that hideous body. No one cares what’s in it, and he certainly ain’t expunging his idiot remarks from the thousands of newspapers that noted them.
What? No crocodile filled moat? Can’t that somehow be construed as employment discrimination against crocodiles?
Bastards
Colbert Nation for the win!
