I know, I had to read the headline twice to make sure it was real, too.

Former Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska has signed on as a contributor to the Fox News Channel.

The network confirmed that Ms. Palin will appear on the networkโ€™s programming on a regular basis as part of a multi-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Ms. Palin will not have her own regular program, one person familiar with the deal said, though she will host an occasional series that will run on the network from time to time.

Will her self-sacrifice for Real Americans never end?

  1. Every minute she spends within the range of a microphone is good for America.

Because every time she opens her mouth, she exposes herself as a dunce. See: Prior interviews with Hannity, et al. Which will eventually do her in. Right?

  2. Contribute to Fox News? She has something to contribute?
Oh wait, she has troubles with facts and truths and ethics and abuses of power. Guess she’ll fit in perfectly at Faux News.
Maybe she can even describe what Russia looks like from her new house.

We know you’ve got to blame someone
    For your own confusion

(I know it’s a song about antisemitism, but I can’t help but think of Red Rider every time I read about Palin, Teabaggers or Birthers)

  4. This is great news for everyone who feared the possibilty of her running for president in 2012. In all likelihood this will subvert and trump all her political ambitions. She’ll turn into just another talking head on Fox.

  5. Sadly predictable. When I first heard that she was resigning as governor, I said she’d end up with a show on Fox News, a la Nancy Grace.

I might expect that a position as an occasional contributor is just a test-run/placeholder with the scary option in the near future of her hosting her own show five days a week.

  6. I predict Palin will be a huge success on Fox. She’ll gain a lot of speaking/debating experience, and tighten up her act until she’s a sharp-witted formidable pundit and an effective representative for the far right. We dismiss and mock her at our own peril.

  7. you gotta expect she won’t be on anything LIVE…..its all going to be pre-recorded, screened & edited to make her appear to be semi-informed….sad but true

  8. @3 makes a really good point. Perhaps Fox was fearing that without a book to promote or an office to run for, they’d have to rely on her facebook posts for copy, and that doesn’t make for very good video.
