Are there any sleds left to purchase in the city? Kicking ourselves over here for being unprepared. Garbage can lids are fun but we’d love the real thing.
@1: a friend is coming into town from Kent, where she dug out a childhood sled from her mom’s garage. I am so fucking stoked.
Also, not to be a spelling Nazi, but it’s b-e-l-L-i-g-e-r-e-n-t.
There were about 100 people in Lawton Park in Magnolia today. An awesome sledding hill, lots of jumps, people snowboarding and drinking hot chocolate. If you only had a garbage can lid or cafeteria tray, the neighbors would make sure you got a ride on their dish or flexible flyer (or a spin on their nordic skis). More snow days, please!
great sledding right now at aloha between 18th and 19th! we just got back and there was still a group when we left! it’s awesome!! we went down on slick sided cardboard and it worked great!
