The University of Washington has thrown in the towel for Monday:
The University has suspended operations on Monday for Bothell, Tacoma and Seattle. Essential services will remain open but may operate on a restricted schedule or restricted scope of activies. Updates will be posted here if weather conditions warrant. Visit the UW Alert site for contact information and resources.

You know what? Fuck them. It took them this long to figure out that they should close? It would have taken me over an hour (as opposed to my normal ten-minute commute) to get to campus on the 18th and 19th, and NOW they finally figured out that it was too shitty to go out? Jesus.
NO WAY. Have they ever closed for a day before? Certainly not in the past several years.
It doesn’t really count unless class is in session, though.
@2: UW cancelled classes for a day or two the first week of Winter quarter in 2004.
What? No photo of Settlers of Catan? You can expect Sam and I about noon since you’ve advertised cookies. We’ll hook up the dog sled.
Classes are not in session, which makes this decision much easier. It’s winter break and has been for a week.
Here goes. (closes laptop, puts on jacket.)
man, I never thought I’d be so pissed to be in Colorado instead of Seattle in the winter. Fuck you, Alaska Airlines.
I want cookies. Please come over and make cookies.
mmm… cookies!
@3: That was pretty great. People from McMahon were sledding down the hill on cafeteria trays. I saw one group of about four guys who had stolen a white board from somewhere and were trying it out as a group taboggan.
@10: It was awesome. I made a snow man in the Quad and stole a cafeteria tray from McMahon to sled on.
I didn’t see any whiteboards, though…
