Well, we’ve learned that The Stranger can round up a bunch (a five-pack) of regular Sloggers, irregular Sloggers, Never-Before-Sloggers, sports-fans, non-sports fans, aficionados of advertising, despisers of same, and with the downright enthusiastic participation of the Slog Commenter Community (also known as Those Mean Mothafuckas, or those Sweethearts, depending of if you agree with them or not) make what is a good time usually even better.
In terms of the game itself, we have learned that the Experts, who mostly all picked the Colts, maybe do not know as much as I do. Not to brag, but fuck, I did call the exact final score. OK, not the exact final score, but the winning team, you know. OK, so I thought it would be the Over, not the Under, but the winning team, you know.
Meanwhile, here’s to Liveslogging. Long may it live! Slog!

What I learned: Step away from the game for a second, and you’ll miss the best play of the night.
That, and we may need to stage an intervention for Lindy West’s celebrity-penis problem.
It brings to mind an old Curt Schilling quote about the “experts” who are wrong 90% of the time. If I live to be 100 and never have to hear about how Payton Manning is the greatest quarterback who ever played the game again, it’ll be too soon.
Congrats to the Saints and everybody in New Orleans. You can take the bag off your head now.
We in Indy know that Drew Brees is a special kind of QB who is destined for greatness and if our Colts were to be beaten by anyone, it should be the Saints, which makes the loss a bit less hard to take. At any rate, the Patriots still suck.
The game was great for the colts because they got to leave one shitty city and head to a far less shitty city.
The greatest moment was when the crowd shouted in unison “We Won’t Get Fooled Again!” as the entire stadium was bathed in red light.
It was like a Tea Party had come to the Super Bowl…
And here’s to hoping that Zach and Arcade hook up IRL.
What I hoped you guys learned that slogging the Super Bowl on The Stranger site is an absurd waste of your time!
ouch
Oh, was TODAY the Superbowl? So, who won? The Bulls?
MIssed the whole damn thing, because of group study for a midterm exam. I believe the children are our future.
Pulpit: we have so few shared holidays here that I found myself absurdly happy about Sunday’s coming event all last week. SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY! Anyway, it would have been great to have finished my chores in time to be part of that.
I’m breaking up with football. It’s the most violent, yet totally boring and annoying tv show ever. I don’t like being yelled at for 3 or 4 hours.
Do you think Teabaggers are fans of the Who???????
@1: I LEARNED IT FROM WATCHING YOU, DAD!
