Definitely a cause for celebration…and I do hope that a lot of people check out his shows at the Comedy Underground.
It is rare that a fresh, local comedian gets the chance to headline a weekend at the Comedy Underground in Seattle–as those spots are typically reserved for national touring comedians or heritage local performers.
Solomon’s success in both the Seattle International Comedy Competition (where he made the semi-finals in 2009) and the San Francisco Comedy Competition (where he made the finals this year) as well as an excellent job hosting the first night of this year’s Seattle competition semi-finals has pushed Solomon into the same category as Hari Kondabolu.
I couldn’t be happier for Solomon…and if lots of people come to see him, perhaps more up and coming locals would get a similar opportunity!
