….”I feel for a dream”…?
what do you call this:
“It’s not the developer who determines who gets a loan,” said David Postman, spokesman for Vulcan.
(halfway down the page)
looks like an ID to me…
???
“Danny Westneat the the Seattle Times grills/fails to ID Vulcan spokesman”
???
Ummm Dan. I’m kinda confused by this post. What are you talking about???
He fails to ID Postman as a former ST staffer.
Face it, the Times, PI, Vulcan, Gateses, Microsofters, Husky owned real estate speculation — it’s all part of the Old Guard that has had this town under its stranglehold from day one.
Now they are tearing each other to shreds trying to grasp on to every last dollar.
Good riddance.
I actually thought Westneat did a good job.
It had to have been awkward for Postman, whose considerable skills and experience are being squandered by his pimping for Paul Allen. He went from trying to report in the public interest to trying to convince people that Vulcan’s interests are the public interest. I bet some part of him must hate it, even if he would never admit it. I hope he does, anyway.
Has Josh Fart started at Vulcan yet? The P-I has no job prospects after he was fired at the Stranger.
Josh left. He was not fired, just tired.
It is not awkward. Reporters go into PR all the time, for private companies and for elected officials. Or even politics (Jean Godden). This isn’t even the first time the Times has quoted Postman as a Vulcan flak.
Live long and prosper.
… Yeah, someone had to do it.
*Yawn.* I care about the Times only slightly more than I care about who the fine citizens of Portland choose to run their executive.
