just in case you didn’t want to bother to follow the link and couldn’t otherwise decode what we were given here… Robert Culp died today at the age of 79. He was a fine actor and left a decent body of work.
Yep, you’ve got to really watch out for those walks in the park. They can be a killer. (BTW, @1, he starred in The Greatest American Hero, thus the reference to the theme song.)
i met him in chicago after an operation breadbasket meeting where he and cosby were visiting guests. he introduced me (.. a gap mouthed teenager easily impressed with celebrity) to his then wife frances nguyen whom i impressed by recognizing her from her small roles in the man from u.n.c.l.e. and ‘i spy’. he became more impressed that i’d recognized her and they both re-introduced me to cosby and we all shared a late 60’s love hug together .
*sigh*

I watched some of the old I Spys from a dvd from the library.
The word is Smooth.
Culp was the real James Bond. Low rent. CIA. Hustling low budget scams and breaking and entering with a toothbrush and some twine to save our ass before the Vietnam War broke out.
(Obviously, it didn’t work..but what fun).

Not just a fine actor, but a brilliant screenwriter to boot. RIP, Mr. Culp.
