Why hasn’t Dan weighed in on Fister, just for the sake of the name, which I understand has some double entendre possibilities?

Nice outing tonight. Got to Bruno’s too late to liveslog it, but, shit, Fister is making the absence of Lee very bearable.

    Cubs Lose! Silva did not get the Win nor did he strike anyone out. Looks like his season is going downhill.

  2. The first time the announcer said Fister’s name, he pronounced it “Feester”…perhaps to stave off the obvious jokes. The rest of the night, it was fister, though. And we won.

  3. Fister had a no-no going fairly late into this game. I hope the Ms put a big “FISTED” up on the scoreboard every time he strikes a batter out…

    Yay — I’m going to see the game on Wednesday, with Felix on the mound!

    Wells started, not Silva, so last night’s game that the Cubs once again blew in the bullpen has no bearing on our beer bet.

  9. Hey CF- I know Silva didn’t start, he started a couple days ago. It was supposed to be kinda funny… and a preemptive comment on the Silva haters… but looks like a CommentFAIL.

    PS- “Taint” would be a great name, but it’s my avatar (actually Pope JP2 saying he can see your taint) and my posting name is Slake. Thank you, continue on.

    PS2- Silva was also unable to get any outs yesterday.

    PS3- He also couldn’t throw a Strike to save his life.

    PS4- On the plus side, his ERA remained constant.

  10. Mister Fister, indeed. I’d be surprised if last night’s dominating performance didn’t have just as much to do w/ B-more’s pathetic offense (actually, w/ Jones, Tejada, Wieters, etc, they’d seem to have a decent team, but certainly have looked god-awful thus far.) Get a win tonight, then w/ Felix tomorrow, a sweep would seem likely.
