This would be a great addition to Slog Happy for those folks who are going to read embarrassing stuff. Bring in a picture of yourself from the year you wrote it…
My senior picture doesn’t fall into any of these categories. Where’s the “always cool with getting down in a garden” one?
I hand-colored mine. I was looking moody against my car. I also had a weird mohawk. I was, of course, awesome.
What does it say if you don’t have one?
Oh my Lord, “The Shirtless-with-My-Pregnant-Girlfriend Photo.”
My senior picture says “I am desperately unhappy about my hair”.
My senior picture says: “Really? Wing-tip Doc Martens? With Dockers and a ribbed sweater? Really?”
@3: What changed?
Mine says “I love my dog”. And it hung in the window of a photo studio in Columbus, OH, for quite a while. My dog was really cute. Me, not so much.
I’m so old my portrait was etched on the wall of a temple.
@8: now I have a job, and no longer go to arts high school. So the mohawk-with-polka-dots combination doesn’t work as well. I am still pretty awesome, though.
arthighschool arthighschool arthighschool
Mine says “woe betide the stupid girl who gets a too-short haircut and attempts to grow it out before the senior pictures she insists on wearing a sweater in, though they’re taken on the hottest day of the year.”
My parents refused to pay for senior pictures, since I wasn’t getting a diploma.
It’s probably for the best, I imagine my pictures would somehow incorporate KISS.
Will you shut up about arts high school? Do you have a job in the arts? Being a cashier at a movie theater doesn’t count nor does being a phone jockey for the Paramount either.
Nobody, and I literally mean nobody gives a fuck about what special ed high school you went to and anybody that does is just as socially retarded as you are.
What I’ve learned here today is that you can’t be free to express yourself unless you attend arts high school. Once you graduate, you can no longer express yourself. If you go to a regular high school you’re also screwed. I’ve also learned that going to arts high school is the most wonderful experience anyone could ever hope to have. It must be, or we wouldn’t still be hearing about it, right?
Damn, Seattlietes are jealous about not having an arts magnet school in the area. Poor things. It must be hard, never being able to get over the scars of your teenage years, to the point that one off-hand mention sends you into a frothing fit of rage.
Who are these dipshits ganging up on Abby? Seems like some people are still IN high school.
Most of us went to college. Those that didn’t are at least mature or socially conscious enough not to prattle on about their high school days.
Furthermore it isn’t offhand. You mention it a lot. It is what defines you as a person. You are the girl who can’t stop talking about how you went to an arts magnet high school. And you’re over the age of 21. What is your damage?
And it’s a legit question about your job. What, if anything, does your high school experience have to do with who you are professionally and personally. You’re worse than a has been. You’re a never was.
I’m sorry, but you’re paying way too much attention to me, creepy anonymous person. Stringing together the few times I mention it (do you have all the comments saved or something? It can’t be more than once a month) into some kind of vendetta where you’re posting behind rapidly-changing pseudonyms multiple times on this thread- which is about high school, in case you didn’t read it- is seriously weird. What’s your damage? What’s your issue?
omg this is JUST like the time i was at arthighschool arthighschool arthighschool
My issue is how you’re oblivious to the people around you. Most people are only nice to your face Abby – behind your back they talk about your insufferable histrionics. I’ve seen you at slog happy hour. I’ve heard you mention your glory days at art high school more than once while there. Why is that your only frame of reference for the world? Why do you think that’s even a good frame of reference
Tell me, do boys ignore you because you’re ugly, or because you’re ugly and have no personality to make up for it?
@22: Hey now, just because someone is fat that doesn’t mean they’re ugly.
to the person who is making nasty comments about abby:
please do come to the next SLOG happy so i can have the infinite pleasure of massaging your prostate with a jackhammer. after the rest of the REAL sloggers get through pissing on you.
Hey, anonymous Abby flamer: it’s nice to see you’re brave enough to fucking sack up enough and use your name.
Oh, wait, you can only talk shit about people behind a fake name, chickenshit. Try it around other Sloggers. To echo STM, I’ll let her massage her prostate after the rest of us piss on you.
@24: The “real” sloggers? Is this arts high school or something?
“You’re worse than a has been. You’re a never was.”
THOU SHALL NOT USE THE MIGHTY DUCKS IN VAIN.
Also, I can’t see shit on this photostream. BOOO.
It’s not so much that she mentions high school, it’s that she puts the adjective “art” in front of it, as if that makes it more impressive. Obviously she’s proud of it, but why? and why does it warrant mentioning?
A final thought: Anyone standing up for Abby, have you actually spent time with her? Around her? If you haven’t, why not? Why won’t you actually put some action behind your defense of her? Spend some quality time with her. Show her your words here aren’t just hollow posturing.
Dear Abby flamer(s):
in the words of Poe….”Go kill yourself”.
@29: Do you ever wish they had BoGos at the abortion clinic?
“Anyone standing up for Abby, have you actually spent time with her? Around her? If you haven’t, why not? Why won’t you actually put some action behind your defense of her? Spend some quality time with her. Show her your words here aren’t just hollow posturing.”
i spent a jolly evening with abby and several sloggers last night at lowell’s, and i look forward to several more jolly evenings, plus a lotta seattle sounder FC matches, where we will definitely scream at freddie ljunberg to rip his shirt off at each and every goal.
you better pray you never run into jubilation t. cornball or mister poe in a dark alley, flamer, or you’re gonna wish yer father had never met yer father.
ABBY RULES!!!
Apparently, I don’t have anything available to me- which means I should probably just forget about my Senior year- yep, I’m better off.
