Heidi asks:
I already bought 4 tix to the triple door party, but didn’t buy the brunch/buffet part… do I need to do that in advance? If so, how/where? If not, I take it I can just buy into the food/drink action there?
thanks much,
heidi
The answer is: Yes! You can buy your brunch at the Triple Door the day of the party. We sold pre-sale brunches to get an idea of how many people were going to want it. Since it’s all done buffet style, there should be plenty to go around, should any of you decide you want brunch the day of the event.
I like food.
Also: The Stranger‘s Inauguration party is SOLD OUT—sorry for those of you who didn’t get tickets. But there are plenty of other parties going on around town! If you are planning/hosting one (a public, party, of course) e-mail me the details and I’ll put up a comprehensive list later this week.

I liked that scene in Dark Knight with Ledger eating.
I’ll just hang out with all the poor slobs at the free party at the Paramount.
Where is slog happy this weeeeek?
Gee, watching Clinton Part II be sworn in… gonna pass. I thought we voted for change not “Back to the 1990’s”
Oh Gee, all you rich-ass fucks go spend your $28 on some goddamned brunch at your hip swanky club, the hypocrisy of you numbnuts is stunning. I’ll be out working my ass off for minimum wage.
@5
What is hypocritical about it? I’m not seeing the contradiction.
@ 5, bitter much?
We’re Canadians coming down to celebrate with you. Please pass along party locations/ideas.
When Democrats are inaugurated, chicks put out. I boned a skank from the Comet Tavern back in ’93 the night Clinton was sworn in, and you the Obama babes are hot.
You’ll find a lot of willing skanks when wars break out, or when we’re attacked, too. 9/11 and the Iraq War were goldmines of puss…
I got an engraved invitation to the actual inauguration in Washington, DC in the mail last week. Woo hoo, I’m special! That big donation really paid off!
Alas, the accompanying letter explains that it’s a “commemorative invitation” and won’t actually get me within a hundred miles of the swearing-in, but it is good for “one of the many associated events”, although it doesn’t say what those are. Presumably I can go nosh on damp hors d’oeuvres in a crusty hotel meeting room somewhere down by the airport or something, hanging out with several hundred Wills in Seattles.
I think I’ll stay home.
@10,
That had nothing to do with you being special, and was certainly not a product of Obama. It’s merely marketing crap by an opportunistic company that culled the names and addresses of folks who donated from the published lists as required by the gov’t.
…
However, if you pls post your bank account info, I have 12,000,000 USD that my dying uncle gave me, and only need to transfer it….
@11, I’m sorry, but you’re too late. I’ve already put everything I own into Official Commemorative coins, cups and saucers, and plates. This shit can only go up, up, up in value. Look, they painted his face right on it! How do they DO that?
i’m having my own inauguration party, bitches! that way I won’t have to sit around with a bunch of fat, smelly internet losers trying to have an awkward conversation. YOU know its true!
