A Montreal man who described himself as a pastor has been sentenced to five years in prison for sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl he claims was his wife.

Daniel Cormier, 57, received the sentence today after a judge convicted him last October…. The girl, now 19, testified she was too young to grasp the concept of marriage but said she remembered the sexual abuse in vivid detail.

  1. If I live to be 100, I don’t think I’ll ever understand these fucking whack-jobs.

Truth be told, I’m not real sure I want to.

  2. 5 years?! I hope he winds up in a real pound ’em in the ass prison for those five years so he can have some insight on what he put that girl through.

  3. @9, her parents were right there. They thought the marriage was great.

PS, the prosecutor intends to appeal the sentence because she thinks it is too light. 10 years is the maximum for sexual assault in Quebec.

  4. Only FIVE years? Come on Canada, I thought you were cooler than that. People who do this shit are so fucked in the head its just incomprehensible.

  5. @4 this happened in the Province of Quebec, many of whom do not consider themselves even part of Canada, but as their own independent nation. Their judiciary is based on Common Law, not Civil Law.

This crime was tried by the Provincial court, trust me anywhere else in Anglophone Canada or in Federal Court this perv would’ve gone away for waaaaay longer than 5 yrs. Regardless, fellow inmates have their own style of justice for dealing with child molesters, he’ll be luck to survive past his second year.

@9 & 10…no parents..one parent, singular, crackhead mother who bought in to the evangelical cult b.s. this perv was preaching.
Now repeat after me, Crackhead, Evangelical. There’s your answers, enough said.
