Crooks and Liars says that Bank of America is frantically buying up domain names to prepare for the upcoming BofA WikiLeaks releases:
According to Domain Name Wire, the US bank has been aggressively registering domain names including its board of Directors’ and senior executives’ names followed by “sucks” and “blows”.
For example, the company registered a number of domains for CEO Brian Moynihan: BrianMoynihanBlows.com, BrianMoynihanSucks.com, BrianTMoynihanBlows.com, and BrianTMoynihanSucks.com.
The wire report counted hundreds of such domain name registrations on 17 December alone. They were acquired through an intermediary that frequently registers domain names on behalf of large companies, says the report.
Bank of America has reputedly established a ‘war room’ to draw up strategy and rebutt [sic] allegations likely to emerge from the publication of thousands of internal documents by WikiLeaks.
I can’t wait!

This is going to be so much more interesting than learning about how Belgium thinks Iran’s farts smell or whatever.
BrianMoynihanButtBlows.com is still available
If I only understood how to play the stock market in such a way that I could short BoA stock, assuming it will fall on the news… We could potentially make a little windfall on this.
@3 you generally need at least $50k in an account, with at least $250k, and be qualified to trade options. You can sell and buy puts and calls.
But in real life, most people lose on that. You’d want an uncovered option to buy at a low price, and a recent trading history. I’ve made money on puts and calls, but generally, most of the profits go to the brokerage.
Hilarious!
These fuckers should be worried… they helped bring down the entire world economy, while top execs continued to rake in millions in bonuses.
Man!! When are those documents going to hit the web????
I’m going to take time off of work to read and enjoy!!
Congratulations! icansmellmybutthole.com is available for registration!
Ah, this is the news Will reported to us earlier as “Bank of America buying up 400 hosting firms that host the Wikileaks servers.”
http://slog.thestranger.com/slog/archive…
ohh, those crazy “high-tech terrorists” what with exposin’ for all to see, the blatant malfeasance of todays financial sector… shame and further shame upon anyone that would do that…
right?
@3, @4: Shorting a stock is simple and you don’t need anywhere near the amount of money that @4 claimed. Bank of America’s ticker is BAC. You can short it directly, or indirectly by buying a put option. In the first case, you will need to sign your broker’s short agreement and keep enough money in your account to be able to buy back the shorted shares at any time. In the second case, you will need to sign your broker’s options agreement and pay for the option. An option to sell BAC at it’s current price of $13 in February currently costs about $0.70. If BAC’s stock price is less than $12.30 in Febrary, you will have made money on the option.
Why don’t they just change their own names?
Or better yet, blow their brains out. (I can’t find a link to that “Jump, Fuckers!” sign scrawled on a scrap of cardboard that someone was holding up on Wall Street a couple of years ago.)
Wait, Will in Seattle says I need $250,000, but David Wright says I only need seventy cents! Whom to believe, whom to believe.

You can simply bet on the stocks, like a casino:

But… But… Without those domain names, Bank of America and everyone who runs it will be untouchable! Curse you, BoA. You win this round, but next time you won’t be so many steps ahead!
Because if there’s one thing the internet doesn’t do well, it’s effectively crowdsource creative and catchy names for things. Which do ya’ll like better, BrianMoynihanBlows.org or BrianMoynihanBlows1.com ?
Hahaha, I am so looking forward to this.
In the United States, it’s cheaper to engage in “Online Reputation Management” by purchasing domain names, than hiring staff to make sure somebody’s paid for house doesn’t get emptied or foreclosed upon, and especially cheaper than settling in lawsuits placed by states’ Attorneys General and disgruntled customers.
This seems like the perfect time to foil evil with creative wording! BrianMoynihanFondlesGoats.com, BrianMoynihanEatsHisOwnPoop.com, BankOfAmericaPushedGrandmaDownTheStairs.… . They can’t buy em all.
@16:
I’m more partial to brianmoynihanblowsgoats.com myself.
@18, but wouldn’t that be cheaper anywhere, not just here?
@20 Nice, COMTE. The bluer the better.
@22 – BAC sold their interest in BlackRock in November. What other of your information is inaccurate?
God I hope they’ve got some good info on these fuckers. I hope they’ve got emails from the CEO joking about screwing over grandma’s Enron style. If this is sufficiently big I’ll gladly forgive them wikileaks for any previous wrongs.
BTW, am I the only one that didn’t know the names (or at least how to spell the names) of all of BOA’s executives. It would never occur to me to go to BrianTMoynihanBlows.com. Haven’t these shitheads ever heard of http://justfuckinggoogleit.com/ ?
On the other hand, I might go to http://www.anallyrapeallBOAexecutiveswithlitdyn… in hopes that they might have video.
Damn slog and their abbreviation of links.
It was www. anally rape all BOA executives with lit dynamite.com
