  1. Catholics can justify even the most animalistic of their behaviors because the are…well…Catholic! And Catholic means we can do whatever the fuck we want.

  2. That Thiessen scumbag needs to volunteer to be waterboarded if he really believes that. He won’t, though, because he is a coward like all of those who promote torture.

  3. I wonder when the trials against this country happen (and they most certainly will at some point in our future) if the citizens who sat by and did nothing will be exonerated? Or will we also be held to account as allowing it to happen.

Once a system fails to maintain law and order on the grounds of superfluous claims of fear the system must be overthrown by any means available.

  4. I have to say, the Sullivan piece was the most marvelous upbraiding of a Catholic, by a Catholic, on Catholic grounds, that I’ve run across this side of Dorothy Day.

The national treasure Scott Horton at Harper’s No Comment blog admiringly links and excerpts to Sullivan, and notes that the worm Thiessen has been named a columnist at the motherfucking Washington Post, “continuing that publication’s slide into the dark world of Dick Cheney and his apologists.”

  5. What are we supposed to do, go crying to our boyfriend, Barack Obama, or to Eric Holder? Neither of them give a fuck and those assholes in Congress have worked overtime to cover it up.
