Yesterday, former NBA all-star Stephon Marbury, whose career has fallen on hard times, participated in a live (and mostly bare-chested) 24-hour video podcast at his Los Angeles mansion. He showed off his crib, swam in his pool, answered webchat questions from fans, and at one point strutted around in a towel with Jadakiss playing loudly in the background.

Esquire‘s Eric Gillen gives a taste of the circus:

In the fifth hour of his telethon into madness, Marbury freestyle rapped, sang incoherent songs, did a rather terrible Li’l Wayne impersonation, discussed the relative “stremph” of various NBA players, showcased his new line of apparel, discussed Larry Brown’s communication style, advised the audience to “stop playing,” and then the sound cut out. In silence, he mugged for the cameras, took a phone call, and then smiled brightly as the camera came back on, actively savoring this moment: “Weback anmovin? Weback anmovin! Twenty-four hours! We didn’t go nowhere! We didn’t move. We ain’t movin’.”

No, Stephon’s not moving and neither are the highlights of his video, like this one where he talks about having never eaten ostrich.

  1. Is there a way to see the feed from the video cameras on the Light Rail train via the web.

It should get pretty entertaining about 11 pm or so…winding its way emptily down MLK Boulevard…

  2. THEY TRYNTA PUT ME IN A BOX!!!

    USTREAM IN THE BUILDING!!!

he broke down a few times (understandable), he volunteered that he was molested as a child, and he declined a suggestion to “bone his wife on this kitchen counter.” Amazing.

    His boredom is devastating.
